Supreme winner of APL's 2008 awards
The winners of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) 2008 Awards have been announced.
Creative Landscape is the winning contractor in the over £50,000 category and the supreme winner of the APL 2008 Awards.
Their work, creating a landscape linking a modern Buckinghamshire home with its rural wooded surroundings, won the top accolade at this year’s awards.
Notcutts Landscape and Garden Design Consultants was successful in four of the six categories it entered, including the category ‘Garden £10,000 - £20,000’ for its work at a property at Woodbridge in Suffolk.
The APL Awards, sponsored by Bradstone, recognise the very best in landscaping undertaken by APL members in projects that range from smaller projects to garden maintenance to contracts of over £50,000.
The awards are a celebration of the high standards that have been achieved by members and a demonstration of the APL’s commitment to quality landscaping.
Chairman of the judging panel, James Steele-Sargent, commented: “I was very pleased to see the high standard of work entered, especially by some of our newer members. I’m sure their success will encourage even more members to enter next year.”
The other judges were APL member Roger Gladwell, SGD members Barbara Hunt and Robin Templar Williams and Ian Wright of Bradstone.
Robin Templar Williams, who announced the awards, said: “There was a very high standard of submissions this year which was good to see and made the task of judging more challenging, which has to be a good thing.
"The winners are well deserving of their achievements and hopefully will inspire others to follow suit and we can look forward to raising the standard yet further."
